Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This policy explains how Papax Log Camera (also listed as “papax日志相机” or “papax日誌相機”, the “app”) handles information during video and field-data recording, overlays, export, sharing and file management.
2. Data processed by the app
When you grant permission and use the relevant features, the app may process the following on your device:
- Camera and microphone: video and ambient audio.
- Time: visible timestamps and the relationship between recording time and video-frame time.
- Precise location: location, speed, altitude, accuracy and route, only when GPS recording is enabled.
- Motion and device sensors: attitude, acceleration, angular velocity, pressure and relative altitude, only when the corresponding options are enabled.
- Recording and quality information: lens, resolution, frame rate, markers, frame times and sensor sampling quality.
- Settings and local file information: capture preferences, batch names, the recording index and video/data-file associations.
- Photos access: adding selected videos to Photos only when you choose.
Video and audio may contain information about you, other people or your surroundings. Obtain necessary permissions and follow applicable rules when recording others or in restricted places.
3. Storage and collection
Recordings are stored in the app’s local file container by default, usually as a video and matching data file. The app has no account system, advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not directly send these recordings to developer-operated servers. The developer currently does not collect data from the app.
Whether device backups include app data depends on your iOS, iCloud or computer backup settings and is managed by those platforms and settings.
4. Sharing, Photos and file access
When you choose to share, export or save to Photos, the selected files leave the app’s local container. Subsequent handling is governed by the recipient, destination app or service you choose.
The app enables iOS file sharing and opening documents in place. System file access or computer file sharing can be used to manage local recordings. Keep your device and exported files secure, particularly files containing precise locations and sensor data.
5. Permission controls
You can review, restrict or revoke Camera, Microphone, Location, Motion & Fitness and Photos permissions in iOS Settings. Location, fused IMU, raw motion sensors and the barometer can also be turned off in the app. Revoking permissions does not delete existing recordings, but the corresponding functions may no longer work.
6. Retention and deletion
Local recordings remain until you delete them in the app, remove them through system file access or uninstall the app. Back up videos and data you want to keep before deleting them. Copies you exported or saved to Photos and system backups must be managed separately.
7. Children’s privacy
The app is not specifically directed at children. The developer does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through servers. Children should use the app under a guardian’s supervision.
8. Policy updates
If features, data handling or applicable requirements change, this policy may be updated with a new date on this page.
